There are many variations of stone window sills. You can grind a semicircle on the edge of the window edge and wrap it a little downward. It looks thick and beautiful, can well protect the wall next to the window, and is round and harmless. 
Small details on the windowsill determine success or failure. Different styles use different closing methods, small ears, everted shapes, thickened edges, etc.
